Wait so he would rather sit next to a hot headed Columbian? They both want the aisle seat? Well I haven’t seen him race since F1 so I don’t know, it must be awkward to say no, you can’t sit with your wife and then have the rest of the flight.

So, a bit of devil’s advocate:

1) Why didn’t they book seats together? My guess is Connie is flying on his miles or didn’t know she was coming to the race until late. Just a hunch.

2) People are crazy protective of that isle seat and they may have paid extra for it. I'm a window guy myself, but will sit anywhere if need be.

I do greatly appreciate JPM’s choice of airline though. Bummer that they weren't able to work a swap.

I have NEVER refused to switch seats so that a couple could sit together. That's just obnoxious to not see the obvious.
